Lithuania’s foreign minister is asking the EU to intervene on its behalf as China steps up political and economic pressure against the Baltic country in a diplomatic dispute over relations with Taiwan.
In a letter to EU Trade Bodog Poker Commissioner Valdis Dombrovskis and the bloc’s foreign policy chief Josep Borrell on Monday, Gabrielius Landsbergis said China was raising “unacceptable” economic pressure “to an unprecedentedly high level.”
